The C-Base non-profit hub, one of the oldest and most informal, was founded in 1995 and is still active today.
Once a gathering place for early digital enthusiasts, C-Base is now a huge space for parties, concerts, festivals, performances and conferences.

Hacker Dojo is a 6,000-square-foot (560-square-meter) community center and hackerspace located in Mountain View, California.
Primarily an open workspace for software projects, Dojo hosts technology classes on biology, computer hardware, and manufacturing events.
Dojo is largely democratically run by its members.
Dojo is primarily funded by membership fees ($150 per month), but accepts third-party sponsorships from Microsoft, Google, Isocket, Twilio, AMS Dataserfs, and Palantir Technologies.
Hacker Dojo is a Silicon Valley co-working space where tech enthusiasts gather to create, experiment, and improve.
